DFiB wins lasts nights battle at the opening round of The Across the Fader Dj Battle at Astro's in glendale and locks in his spot in the finals in august and scored a sweet pair of Pioneer HDJ-1500 headphones and an opportunity to win over 10 grand in equipment. The competition was pretty stiff but DFiB managed to hold his ground and stick out like a sore thumb to the judges, which consisted of last years across the fader champ Lenny Ducano, Power 106's dj Epic twelve, and local legend Dj Danno. The show was hosted by Kdays 93.5's dj Prophet. Out of 10 competitors only the top 2 were selected to advance to the finals in august. There are 4 more rounds left, one each month up until august and 40 djs to still filter out. Make sure to come out and support DFiB in the finals.

On February 10th, DFIB will be a guest on the longest running underground house music station since the early 90's. DFIB takes another victory within the battle scene! This time at the "Fresh Meat House Music Competition" in Costa Mesa at the Detroit Bar, hosted by NyteHype Ent. Out of 10 djs, DFIB managed to come through with a unique set that set him apart from the other competitiors. His set consisted of heavy cuts, programmed transitions, long blends, tasteful fx and original flavors. The crowd loved his set as well as the judges. Here's a list of what he won.

DFiB takes the win at the Adams Motorsports Park "Dj Battle Series"!!!
It was an intense battle between 10 finalists thursday night. The 4 minute sets and 2 minute answers tested each competitor and kept them digging deep for that winning set. 1 vs 1 until there was only 2 left. Final round was vs Dj Fiction and DFIBs 2 minute answer sealed the deal for the win. It was a great night of battles, drift races and an eating contest. Great vibes all night at the motorsports park with a great packed crowed. Thanks to all those that came out and supported DFIB.

DFiB takes the win for the 2012 DUBKING Championship!!! It was a close battle with the final score DFIB 27 - Murdok 26.5. The venue was packed wall to wall as DFiB and Murdok battled it out. The energy was pumping and the crowd was active. It was definitely a great performance by both deejays, but in the end only one took the win and it was DFIB. Stay tuned for a DUBKING victory party. Special thanks to all that supported him through out the 2 month battle. Big ups to all the new fans as well!

It was a heated battle vs his opponent G'DuBn thursday night June 14th at The Mission Tobacco Lounge, but once again DFiB implements his strategic assault and claims another victory. DFiB claims his victory in the 1st Round "DUBKING" DJ Battle at The Mission Tobacco Lounge in Downtown Riverside by incorporating his hip hop/turntablist background into his dubstep/jungle set vs his opponent Dj Registry. The final score was DFiB 29 - Registry 26. DFiB advances to the semifinals vs. Underpressures very own G'Dubn on June 14. DFiB will be opening up and providing musical support for The Slackers from New York on monday June 11th at the Mill Creek Venue in San Bernardino, CA. The Slackers are a classic American band that is equal parts grit and grace. Their slow rise against the odds is a story of perseverance and a belief in their musical vision, what Vic likes to call, "Jamaican Rock N Roll." While they have been influenced, and even personally taught by Jamaican Ska/Reggae originators, like the Skatalites and the Upsetters (Original backing band for the Wailers), the band sees its music as an extension of the traditions of the United States. This band is equally appreciative of old Blues, Country, 60s Soul, Rock, and Rn'B as it is of Reggae, Rocksteady, Dub, and Ska. It is as if the Rolling Stones or the Yardbirds had grown up on Bob Marley as well as Muddy Waters.
